A pharmacy consultant works alongside you and your healthcare providers to make sure your medications align with your health goals. Caren reviews everything you take—prescriptions, supplements, and over-the-counter products—to make sure each has a clear purpose and works safely with the rest. Whether you’re choosing between treatment options, feeling overwhelmed by unwanted side effects, or hoping to simplify your regimen, Caren helps you and your doctor create a plan that supports your best possible outcome.
One-hour consultations are $160 and self-pay only. You’ll receive a summary report you can share with your physician.
Please note that if your consultation involves laboratory testing—such as pharmacogenomics testing—those tests would incur separate charges.
All consults are virtual, saving you the time and hassle of traveling or waiting in line. Caren is based in Jacksonville, Florida, and is licensed to serve patients throughout Florida and Georgia via Athenahealth’s secure online portal. Most sessions are scheduled for a full hour.
Retail pharmacists focus on dispensing medications, and physicians focus on diagnosis and treatment. Caren bridges the gap—she provides education, safety reviews, and optimization of your medications without prescribing or selling drugs. Her only goal is to make your treatment safer and easier to manage.
Anyone who has questions about medications, using supplements or alternative therapies, or who is experiencing side effects can benefit. Caren also helps patients who are weighing treatment options, managing chronic conditions, or considering how pharmacogenomic (DNA-based) testing could improve their care.
No referral is required, though many patients are referred by their physicians. You can schedule directly online. Caren will coordinate with your healthcare team after the consultation so everyone stays aligned.
Bring a full list of your medications, supplements, and vitamins—plus any recent lab results or pharmacogenomic reports if you have them. If you’re unsure, Caren can help you gather what’s needed.
No. Know Your Meds does not prescribe or sell medications. All recommendations are independent, educational, and made in collaboration with your healthcare providers.
